Shipping policy

Shipping Rates

  • Rates are calculated based on shipping location, weight and size.

  • We use live rates, so the price you see is exactly what the carriers charge us.

  • We ship with Purolator, UPS and Canada Post. Occasionally, we use other shippers as we see fit.

Use the Shipping Estimate Tool on the Shopping Cart page to calculate your shipping rate at any point during the online shopping process.

 

Shipping to Ontario, Canada

  • For orders under $150 (before taxes & discounts), shipping rates start at $12 and increase based on weight.

  • For orders over $150 (before taxes & discounts), shipping is free

We reserve the right to cancel and refund "free shipping" orders to remote locations or oversized orders.

 

Shipping to other Provinces & Territories

  • Shipping to other provinces starts at $14 and increases based on weight.


Cold Shipping Info

For orders with frozen or refrigerated items, two-day shipping is required.

We provide an insulated liner and ice packs to maintain appropriate temperatures during transit. You may upgrade to a thicker premium liner with up to 72 hours of protection and extra ice packs for an additional fee. 

Cold shipments are dispatched only on Mondays and Tuesdays to minimize transit time and avoid weekend delays.

If a slower shipping option is selected, we will email you an invoice for the difference. Failure to pay within 24 hours will result in automatic cancellation and refund of your order.

Please note that some thawing may occur during the shipment of frozen items. Vegan products are typically non-hazardous, so it is safe to refreeze any thawed items.

In the event of a (observed) statutory holiday, the order will ship the next business day.


Free carbon-neutral shipping

Your orders are shipped carbon-neutral through Shopify's Planet App, which calculates the shipping emissions and funds high-quality carbon offset and removal initiatives.

Gift orders

We are happy to ship gift boxes and items to someone else for you. Please make sure to keep an eye on the tracking information or share it with the recipient to avoid any confusion resulting in delays or returned orders.

We want to make sure everyone receives their gifts on time, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Damaged or incorrect shipments

When your order arrives, we kindly ask that you inspect the carton for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Please keep in mind that some wear and tear on the outer carton is normal. It's important to us that you receive the correct items, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns.

In case of any incorrect or missing items, you will receive a full refund. For damaged items, kindly take a photo and email it to hello@fair-square.ca with the order number for a replacement or refund. Our team will be happy to assist you with the process.

 

Delayed shipments

Please note, there may be delays in transit due to factors that we cannot control such as high package volume, weather, mechanical error, strikes, natural disasters, or local carrier mis-scans.

Please understand that the decision to leave a package at an address is at the sole discretion of the individual delivery person and is not within our control. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

Incomplete or wrong address

We are not responsible for delivery delays due to wrong addresses or incomplete addresses (as deemed by our carriers). Depending on the carrier, the package will be held or shipped back to us which will lead to additional costs and delays.

It is the customer's responsibility to correct this information directly with the carrier if the error transpires after the package has left our facilities.

If the package is returned to us and the customer requests a refund, we will deduct the return shipping cost from the refund. If the package needs to be re-shipped, additional shipping charges will apply and will need to be paid by the customer once again.

Remote locations

We reserve the right to designate certain areas as remote. Orders to these areas may incur additional shipping fees. We also reserve the right to cancel and refund any orders deemed to be going to remote locations.

Bulky orders

We reserve the right to deem orders as bulky. Orders containing bulky items (such as chips, popcorn and puffs) might be subject to additional shipping fees. We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order we deem to be a bulky order.

 

Returns

Due to food safety concerns, we are unable to accept returns for any food items. For non-food items, we accept returns within 30 days from the day of purchase.
