FAIR/SQUARE offers a small but growing selection of handmade vegan shirts, sweaters and hoodies. Our shirts are screen printed in our small studio with non-toxic and vegan inks. The clothing items we offer are made in Canada (in Toronto) from sustainable bamboo and organic cotton. And the best part? By buying one of our items you help us raise funds for a good cause: we donate $5 CAD per shirt or hoodie to Canadian animal sanctuaries.

Sustainable bamboo

Our clothing is made from a blend of bamboo and organic cotton.

Bamboo is not only soft and light but also naturally sustainable. It requires no fertilizers or pesticides and grows rapidly without depleting the soil. As an added benefit, bamboo also has antibacterial qualities that repel odors and toxins. On top of that, it’s also hypo-allergenic which means you can wear it comfortably even if you have very sensitive skin.

For cotton to be classified as organic, the use of chemical pesticides is prohibited. This makes organic cotton the perfect addition to the bamboo in this shirt.

We hand screen print every T-Shirt with great care. This means your T-Shirt will be unique and might deviate a little bit from what you see in the picture.

To make the T-Shirt printing as sustainable as possible, we work with an ink manufacturer that can supply us with water-soluble non-toxic vegan inks made in the United States.

But don’t worry, water-soluble does not mean the print will just wash out. Once the T-Shirt is heat-sealed, it can go in the wash as many times as any other T-Shirt.

Made in Canada

We didn’t just want to offer T-Shirts printed in Canada, but T-Shirts that are actually made in Canada!

Jerico is our shirt supplier of choice. They’re based out of Toronto and make socially conscious apparel.

Jerico knits, dyes, cuts and sews all of their apparel in Canada. By keeping their productions here, they support the local economy, provide a safe working environment and make quality garments that stand the test of time.

To make you feel even better about buying and wearing our shirts, we donate $5 of every shirt sold to local Ontario-based animal sanctuaries and rescue organizations.

Because so many sanctuaries need support, we choose a new organization every 50 shirts.

Some of the sanctuaries in our focus are Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary, Karuna Lane Sanctuary, and Frog Hollow Sanctuary.
